The Life Writer is a web application dedicated to making life story writing easy, affordable, and available to everyone. The application currently provides an easy to use process that generates in a book as a result to inspire and enhance lives.
Project Brief
The Life Writer wanted to upgrade their website to the latest version of Drupal and enhance the experience of the application, improve security, and provide more story options. The new application takes The Life Writer to the next step by attracting customers from different regions to not only drive more revenue but to also help others with sharing family history. The new design upgrade was designed and organized to be user-friendly and attractive. The design is compatible with new web standards and trends along with the new upgrade of Drupal 8. The design has a unified look and provides a feeling of graphic harmony as well as easy navigation. Based on the research I conducted and the statistics provided from the client, the age group of the website users is between 45 and 65 years old. Taking this data into consideration, I made sure to use fonts that fit the identity of the website while maintain easy readability. Bigger font sizes was also an improvement that took place for better accessibility. The homepage structure changed completely in a way that highlights the mission of The Life Writer ultimately leading to more sales.
